Back from the hospital.
I went to the doctor on Monday because I was having stomach pains. After 10 minutes of them poking my stomach and looking at tests they had run last week, they decided I needed to be admitted to the hospital to have my gallbladder removed. So yesterday at 3pm I had my gallbladder removed. Everything went well. They only made 4, 1/2" cuts on my lower chest. Recovery time should be a week or so.We are still planning on going to Uhwarrie later this month for the 2nd annual... [more]

Chris learned a thing or 2.
Well, as you can see, TBD has a new look and feel. Since I am a web developer by trade, I am constently looking for ways to impove my own site. I recently got ahold of Dreamweaver 8 and Adobe Photoshop CS2. Both of these pieces of software are must haves for anyone that does graphic design or web design. If you are here and the site is kinda broken, just... [more]

Submit Form onChange with JavaScript
I've been fighting with IE and FF for a couple days now, trying to get a JavaScript "onChange" to work. I wanted a table of employees to be automaticly updated when someone selected an option from a form drop down menu. I had no problem getting it to work in one or the other browser, but never in both browsers at the same time. After searching around the net for a way to get this done, I finally found the correct way to get the job done in both IE and FF. By simply putting a... [more]

PCLZip is useful.
PCLZip is a open source class file for use with PHP that I have recently used for an online script. The script takes a zip file located on the server, opens it, extracts all the files to a specific folder and renames them. The class was written by a French guy I believe so the documentation on it isn't very good, but it works extremely well and is a simple solution to zipping and unzipping files on a server without having a php module or apache module... Maybe I spoke too soon.
We left work early on Tuesday due to the hurricane force winds that were approaching the area. Most of the bridges were shut down as of Tuesday morning and state police were stationed at all major intersections along Hwy. 17 headed out of Wilmington. On the way home from work I was having a little trouble driving the speed limit in Katie's Montero Sport.Since then we really haven't noticed any extreme wind gusts or sustained winds of any magnitude. The neighbors don't seem to be... [more]

Hurricanes can't hit the broad side...
So the so called hurricane Ophelia was downgraded to a tropical storm at 11am today. Katie and I were getting worried that we might actually have to experience a hurricane, and with hurricane Katrina still on everybody's mind it didn't make it any better.I finally ordered some stuff for the Jeep. I got an overhead console unit, not sure who makes it, but once I get it I will put more information up. Also won a 11,000 lbs. tow rope on ebay. The fishtank light conversion... [more]

Lots going on.
Let my start by reminding everyone that today is September 11th. Not only is it a day to remember due to the terrorist attacks that occurs on 9/11, but it is also my wife's and my first anniversary. I'm not sure if I am lucky, or just haven't hit it yet, but so far it has been smooth sailing for us.Upcoming events include the release of Desert of Flames and [more]

I have to say...
I would like to first say that no words can be used to describe the amount of...sorrow for the events in the gulf coast area. It is extremely hard to wrap my brain around the idea of lossing everything, your home, your church, your business's building, your dentist's office, everything. Now, I have to say that I am extremely unproud of some of the happenings in the devistated areas over the past week. Rarely has there even been a time in my life that I have a hard time being proud... [more]
