My wife won tickets for the
NASCAR All-Star Race last weekend. Since we moved to Charlotte, we've always talked about venturing over to the race track. We made it out there last year when she bought me a day at the track where I got to actually drive a NASCAR car around the track for eight laps. However, we had never experienced a race day.
The tickets she won gave us access to a special Lowe's event with tons of vendors handing out free stuff and free food. Preregistration was at 1pm, but the gates for the event didn't open until 3pm.

After parking the car, walking a couple miles, determining that we had parked in the wrong spot and walking back to move the car, 1pm rolled around.
We spent the next couple hours visiting the booths setup around the track. At 3pm we went to the Lowe's tent event for free food and events.
We entered the stands at 6pm and watched some non-NASCAR races for the next hour and a half. The entire event was an amazing experience and I'm glad we finally got to see what it is all about.
