Maybe I spoke too soon.

We left work early on Tuesday due to the hurricane force winds that were approaching the area. Most of the bridges were shut down as of Tuesday morning and state police were stationed at all major intersections along Hwy. 17 headed out of Wilmington. On the way home from work I was having a little trouble driving the speed limit in Katie's Montero Sport.

Since then we really haven't noticed any extreme wind gusts or sustained winds of any magnitude. The neighbors don't seem to be to scared since they were letting their kids ride around the neighborhood all afternoon.

The forecast is saying we will probably receive around 10 inches of rain over the next couple days.

Desert of Flames came out today. Katie picked it up for me while she was in Wilmington this morning before the weather got to bad. I guess Sony Online Entertainment forgot to mention that it was only going to bring new content to those higher than level 45. I did get the special "pre-order" pet monkey even though I didn't pre-order. Katie said she flirted with the salesman or something like that. I don't care what she did, because she got me the free monkey.

Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 came out this week. Developers that use Dreamweaver and Macromedia Flash have been anxiously waiting to see what type of changes were made to the Macromedia product line after being purchased by Adobe last year. I downloaded the full version from the Macromedia site today and have been thoroughly impressed. Many useful features have been added, without hurting the functionality and ease of use that Dreamweaver has always had.

Jay and Melody are in the process of buying a house in Denver. Katie and I thought they might be considering moving down here to NC, but I guess they decided to stay up north for a little longer. We haven't really seen any pictures of the house, but Jay says he will get us pictures when they do the final inspection on Tuesday.
