I have Google Alerts setup for a good number of things. One of those is "securitychoice.com" which is my old employer. I guess I never removed it from my list of Alerts and they just get funnelled into a folder.
Yesterday I got an alert that google.com had found Mr. Eric Dunlap's website. I took a look at his site and it appears that he has placed the domain securitychoice.com on his "Recent Spam" list, with a source of thtelecom.ca. I find this slightly amusing since Security Choice is one of ADT's leading reseller of home security systems.
Not only have they started selling more systems than most dealers in under a year, they have become the premier online marketing partner for ADT. I have a feeling that Mr. Eric opted into an email list somewhere and got pissed that he received an email.
Instead of opting out, which securitychoice.com allows for, he decided to try and smear their name in the mud by associating it with spam.
