This is the ground breaking post on my new website. I will be using this website mainly to keep track of different parts of my life(work included). I do a lot of programming and server development so I will be adding a projects section soon. I will post walkthoughs and code snippets in that section once I get it going.
I have traffic court coming up on Friday(August 26th). In July, I received a ticket for "Driving the wrong way on a divided lane highway" G.S. 20-146(3). I was making a left hand turn from the left turn lane, and I turned into the second entrance to a parking lot instead of the first. There was an officer sitting there flagging me down. When I stopped he had my ticket ready to go.
I'm not really sure what to expect from traffic court since I have never been. I am fighting the ticket mainly because if I pay it, I must agree that I am guilty of the offense, and it would place 4 points on my driving record and 2 points on my insurance record. I find this extremely hard to understand, since 5 points is the most you can get for 1 offense (passing a stopped school bus, speeding 20+ mph over the speed limit). I have started gathering as much information about the law as I can. Wish me luck.
