I found a group-buy from
T Byrne Motorsports on
chargerforums.com for a
DiabloSport Predator Tuner and
aFe Stage II CAI. The total price was $500 which is what most stores are asking for only the Predator. After waiting an extra week and a half due to back ordered parts, I finally received the tuner and CAI.

Installation of the aFe went fairly smoothly. The only issue I had was because I decided that the tube to the intact manifold was too long, so I decided to hack it down to the right size. When I tried to put the engine cover back on, the tube was in the way, and I had to leave the cover off the engine. I'm stilling looking for a longer tube. The only other problem I ran into was removing the air sensor from the old tube. My brother-in-law suggested spraying it with some silicone which did the trick. It came right out after that.

The tuner was a different store. I ordered the serial to usb connector because I plan on putting a carputer in my Charger and knew I would need a usb connection for live diagnostics via the Predator. Unfortunately, the usb cables don't work with Vista, or Windows XP 64bit. After numerous attempts to get the drivers installed, I finally gave up and remembered that my wife's computer is still running Windows XP.
I got the DiabloSport software working and recognizing the Predator. I went outside and hooked up the Predator and was told that I would need to download an update. Fifteen minutes later I was back in the car putting the 93 octane with CAI tune on the car. If it hadn't been for the Vista issue, I think this mod would have been completed in under 30 minutes.
I also installed some new Sylvania Silverstars.
A couple days after installing the aFe and Predator I made a 14 hour drive from North Carolina to Missouri. I removed the MDS for the trip out to Missouri and got an average of 22 MPG. The return trip I put MDS back on and got around 23.5. It's almost worth not having MDS just so I don't have to feel that kick when it turns on and off.
Overall I am extremely happy with the aFe and Predator. The car is more responsive, has a louder engine note, and shifting doesn't have the kick in the ass it used to.
