Over the past couple months I have boarded planes through TSA "secured" airports over a dozen times. These secured airports are guarded by some of USA's finest underachievers. They are trained, and have honed the skills, to deter travels from boarding planes in under an hour, with dangerous factory sealed beverages, and without having to remove at least 3 articles of clothing.
They idioticly force you to remove laptops from their bags, while allowing you to keep projecters and PSP's in their bags. "Sir, you have to throw that factory sealed Coke away, before coming through this checkpoint. Feel free to buy the exact same size bottle Coke for 5 times its actual value at the store inside the airport."
They don't, however, stop you from boarding the plane with a 2 3/4 " long knife. These knifes can be bought off the internet for around $11, and shipped to your door via the USPS.
I have owned my Swiss+Tech Utili-Key for over 8 years. I have used it to cut speaker wire, open birthday presents, and a million other things. This knife is extremely sharp and will be used to defend myself on a terrorist controlled plane if the need arises.
Simply attach it to your keychain before entering the airport and away you go.
Just a side note, you are allowed to carry metal butter knives, as long as they have a rounded tip.
