You Can't Arrest Me, I'm Illegal

According to the highest political powers of what most would deem the most powerful nation on Earth had decided that it is alright for people to break our laws. No, they have not decided that it is alright, they have decided that they will actually start rewarding those that have broken our laws.

The best way that I can describe what is happening in our country is to repeat the scenario that Sean Hannity and Neal Boortz are using. Let?s say that you are an average American citizen. You pay taxes, own a home, and have been working a steady job for fifteen years. One day, you come home to find someone in your home. This person has washed your dishes, folded your clothes, and cleaned the bathrooms. You ask them to leave, yet they refuse and tell you that they are entitled to part of what you have because you have it and they don?t. Then they tell you that not only are they going to do the work that you dislike to do, they are requiring that you place them on your health insurance policy, provide them discounted room and board, and pay to sent their children to school. They also tell you that since they already are here, they will be calling their family members to come by and start doing the lawn care and roofing work that you need to have done.

When you reach for the phone to call the police this person begins to yell and scream at you while waving around a sign that reads ?I am America!? They tell you that if you call the authorities on them, they will only tell their friends where you live. They tell you that they have a right to part of what you have and are only trying to better themselves.

Now, please take a step back. Take a moment to consider this. This is exactly what is happening to Americans. Our boat has sprung a leak and all our politicians can do is argue with each other about who has the better bill.

I am utterly confused at how incompetent our politicians really are. The Republicans hold the majority in the both the House of Representatives and the Senate, and a Republican currently lives in the White House, yet they are unable to force a bill into law. This is amazing, and yet, extremely scary. Senate bill S.2611, titled Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 is a big pile of steaming crap. The first word in the title, ?Comprehensive? tells it all. You need not bother reading the rest of the bill. Comprehensive is not what America needs. The title should read S.2611 ?Complete and Total Disregard for Tax Payers We need more voters.?

The illegal immigration problem must be addressed in steps. If any plan is accepted that covers all issues of the illegal immigration, it can not be acceptable to American citizens. Border security must be addressed as a separate issue, not as part of an overall idea. This is the Republicans chance to actually show that they are worth our tax dollars. American citizens should not accept any bill that does not fully punish those that have broken our laws.

Both the House and the Senate want to try and convince us that they don?t condone lawbreaking, but try and persuade us to believe that if someone has been breaking the law long enough that we should forget that they have even broken the law. I see this in another light. Let?s say for instance that I was a professional burglar. Ten years into my career, the police finally catch me. I have stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of other peoples stuff, but when I go in front of a judge, I plead not guilty on the fact that I have been doing it so long. Not only does the judge find me not guilt, but he rewards me by giving me a new social security number and tax breaks that are only available to criminals.

I have already put forward my solution to the flood of illegal immigrants crossed our borders. Pack them on to buses, and ship them back to the border. Then force them to work to pay off the cost of the bus?s gas by helping build the wall along the border. This will allow the cost of the wall to be shouldered by those that are causing us to have to build it.

Found your blog looking for Aoache stuff. Thanks for that by the way. I am not from 'the most powerful country in the world' I am from New Zealand. Look it up it is stuck on the bottom of the planet as an after thought. Its great. We hide down here while the rest of the world seems to want to tear itself apart. The fishings quite good too. What you are failing to realise is that Mexico is not your problem. Look to China. They dont need to move into your house. 20 years from now they will just turn around and tell you to get the fuck out because it is actually their house now. The advantage that the US has had in an economic sense for the last 100 years is that it is the biggest economy. That means when punters like me want to by offshore equity or assets we look to the largest economy ie the US. You dont want to know what that means for you when China overtakes you. The only way for you to delay that is growth and shitloads of it. Immigration is a major source of growth. These people come in and clean the toilets and drive the buses and force everyone else to work smarter and harder increasing the efficiency of the whole economy. Dont worry about Mexicans coming and taking your jobs. At least when you are out of work you clean his toilet for a crust. It wont be that easy when someone in China has taken your job, then your fucked.

I only mentioned that people believe we are extremely powerful, to show exactly how un-powerful we are, since we aren't able to even monitor our borders effectively.

China's economy is on the rise, but I don't believe they are a major issue that we must consider at this time.

I don't have anything against people that are willing to work the jobs that most Americans don't want to, but I don't agree with them illegally invading the US and then politicians allowing them to stay.
Juan
I understand your point but the reason most of these people come here illegally is because they cannot come the legal way. The lack of opportunities in other countries such as Mexico propells them to try their luck in the US. It is just a simple economics law.
Chris
Juan, It's also an economics law to sell drugs, because the profit margin is really high. Do you think that's ok? Here's an idea. Instead of running from the problems that plague your country, stand and fight, and fix those problems.
