I went to the doctor on Monday because I was having stomach pains. After 10 minutes of them poking my stomach and looking at tests they had run last week, they decided I needed to be admitted to the hospital to have my gallbladder removed.
So yesterday at 3pm I had my gallbladder removed. Everything went well. They only made 4, 1/2" cuts on my lower chest. Recovery time should be a week or so.
We are still planning on going to Uhwarrie later this month for the 2nd annual "Fall Crawl". The Jeep did well at the beach last weekend. Still need help putting on the 1" body lift, but that will have to wait until my stomach heals.
Well, as you can see, TBD has a new look and feel. Since I am a web developer by trade, I am constently looking for ways to impove my own site. I recently got ahold of Dreamweaver 8 and Adobe Photoshop CS2. Both of these pieces of software are must haves for anyone that does graphic design or web design.
If you are here and the site is kinda broken, just check back later in the day and I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.

I've been fighting with IE and FF for a couple days now, trying to get a JavaScript "onChange" to work. I wanted a table of employees to be automaticly updated when someone selected an option from a form drop down menu. I had no problem getting it to work in one or the other browser, but never in both browsers at the same time.
After searching around the net for a way to get this done, I finally found the correct way to get the job done in both IE and FF. By simply putting a 'onChange="Javascript:document.form1.submit()"' in the <select> tag, the form will automaticly submit the [Read More]
PCLZip is a open source class file for use with PHP that I have recently used for an online script. The script takes a zip file located on the server, opens it, extracts all the files to a specific folder and renames them. The class was written by a French guy I believe so the documentation on it isn't very good, but it works extremely well and is a simple solution to zipping and unzipping files on a server without having a php module or apache module installed. This is good for those of us that don't have access to the php.ini file or httpd.conf files on our web servers.
We left work early on Tuesday due to the hurricane force winds that were approaching the area. Most of the bridges were shut down as of Tuesday morning and state police were stationed at all major intersections along Hwy. 17 headed out of Wilmington. On the way home from work I was having a little trouble driving the speed limit in Katie's Montero Sport.
Since then we really haven't noticed any extreme wind gusts or sustained winds of any magnitude. The neighbors don't seem to be to scared since they were letting their kids ride around the neighborhood all afternoon.
So the so called hurricane Ophelia was downgraded to a tropical storm at 11am today. Katie and I were getting worried that we might actually have to experience a hurricane, and with hurricane Katrina still on everybody's mind it didn't make it any better.
I finally ordered some stuff for the Jeep. I got an overhead console unit, not sure who makes it, but once I get it I will put more information up. Also won a 11,000 lbs. tow rope on ebay.
The fishtank light conversion from bulb to LED didn't go so well. I think I might have flunked my electricity quiz. I tried wiring up to series [Read More]
Let my start by reminding everyone that today is September 11th. Not only is it a day to remember due to the terrorist attacks that occurs on 9/11, but it is also my wife's and my first anniversary. I'm not sure if I am lucky, or just haven't hit it yet, but so far it has been smooth sailing for us.
Upcoming events include the release of Desert of Flames and Xbox 360.
We had to spend some major money on Katie's car for maintenance stuff so I had to postpone some jeep [Read More]
I would like to first say that no words can be used to describe the amount of...sorrow for the events in the gulf coast area. It is extremely hard to wrap my brain around the idea of lossing everything, your home, your church, your business's building, your dentist's office, everything.
Now, I have to say that I am extremely unproud of some of the happenings in the devistated areas over the past week. Rarely has there even been a time in my life that I have a hard time being proud of being an American. But it's not only the looters and vandals that make me aggrivated. I have read numerous news articles that [Read More]
I have finally finished a working and fairly stable version of PHP guestMap. This is a web based application that allows people that visit your site, to click on a map of the world, and insert their information, and place a "marker" on your map.
With the boom of blogging, I believe this will be a huge hit and will quickly take off. It utilizes one of Google's open source API's to display a zoomable map ofthe world.
Once I have completed a better working version, I will release it for download. So tell all your friends to come check it out.
Today was my court date for the ticket I received on July 17, 2005 for "Driving the wrong way on a divided lane highway" which is known as G.S. 20-146 in North Carolina.
I got the ticket making a left hand turn into a parking lot after getting a little lost. I will upload pictures of the intersection later.
At my first court appearance(where you just tell a DA what you plan to do about the ticket) I told them I wanted to dispute it. The DA told me to be in court today at 8:30am sharp.
The judge didn't show up until 9:30am. They call roll, and out of a 160 cases, only 4 plead not guilty(me being [Read More]
